The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco organized a consular mission during the Kababayan Fest held at California’s Great America in Santa Clara, July 10. Consulate personnel set up a booth to distribute and process applications for passports, visas, dual citizenship and legal services. A counterpart booth of the Department of Tourism Office in San Francisco was also organized to provide information on the Philippines to interested parties. The day before, July 9, the Consulate was also well represented at the grand opening of Max’s of Manila at the Season’s Market Place in the Bay Area city of Milpitas at the heart of Silicon Valley. Max’s of Manila is one of the well-known Filipino companies operating at the mall, whose tenants include Seafood City, Chow King, Tokyo Tokyo, Yellow Cab Pizza, Coffee Adventure, and Gabuican Family Dentistry.
